The Rainiers have released the 2006 schedule!
For the first time in several seasons, the Rainiers will open the 2006 season at home on April 6 at 7:05 p.m against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Other highlights of the 2006 schedule include the first visit to Tacoma by the Round Rock Express. In 2005 the Edmonton Trappers relocated to Round Rock. The Rainiers visited the Austin, Texas suburb, but due to the Pacific Coast League's unbalanced schedule, host the teams from the American Conference every other year. The Albuquerque Isotopes, New Orleans Zephyrs, and the Oklahoma Redhawks also visit Cheney Stadium in 2006. For the complete 2006 Tacoma Rainiers schedule, click HERE. The promotional schedule will be released at a later date, but highlights include 12 fireworks shows and the return of fan favorites Salute to Armed Forces Night, Little League Day, and the Mother's day Diamond Dig! Game times will also be released at a later date.
