Seattle Seahawks Blog
What a great game yesterday. Every win in the NFL is important, but moving to 6-4 vs. being 5-5 is a huge momentum booster for this team. Arizona isn't exactly throwing in the towel right now, so it's important for us to keep winning. Up next a newly re-energized St. Louis team that can be dangerous at home.
Game balls and thoughts from the game yesterday.
1. Defense: was solid throughout the day. Despite the long TD run, we held them in check for the most part and our safeties did exactly what we needed....don't get beat deep. Kearney Game ball with 3 sacks. Lofa was solid yesterday, but got ran over on that 5 yard TD run. The stuff on the fourth and 1 however was critical!
2. Hasselbeck & Holmgren: Once again, Matt is having an MVP like year and continues to show improvements with Holmgren's newly opened up offense. 2 TD's, 300+ yards passsing, no INT's....great game. I still think Holmgren gets a bit soft in his play calling with the lead. That's one of the separaters of a New England vs. Seattle....NE continues to for the throat all game where as Seattle will go into 3 straight running plays inside the redzone with a lead. It keeps teams around and if Chicago would have recovered that onside kick....who knows.
3. Mo Morris: Shaun, please continue to rest your tired hangnails so that Morris can continue to show how great of a RB he is. It goes to show that the problem wasn't the line, it was Shaun.
Keep up the fire Hawks and let's get to 7-4 next week vs. St. Louis. We have got to prove we can win on the road.
