Seattle Seahawks Blog
Here are the keys to the game this week. I still think Seattle is a more balanced team both offensively and defensively vs. Pittsburgh. I see Seattle taking this game, 24-17.
Keys to the game:
1. Fight fire, with fire. Pittsburgh runs one of the smartest 3-4 defenses in the league. How? They do an excellent job of disguising blitzes, crowding the line and let Palo run wild back there. You never know where he's coming from. Marshall did a better job of this last week vs. SF....let's keep it up.
2. Ben Rothlesburger. is an idiot, make him make mistakes. Big Ben is effective when he can sit in the gun all day. If we can get consistent pressure on him, he'll make mistakes.
3. Consistency from Hasselbeck and Alexander. Limit the turnovers from both, and we can win this game. Hass is going to be under pressure a lot this game, so screens and draws should be effective if called on the right downs.
4. Don't let emotion get the best of you. Pittsburgh has a rowdy crowd, similar to Seattle's. Refs will be on their side, so Seattle needs to stay within their heads and not let the fans influence their game play.
5. Revenge: mark my words, Seattle might not be claiming this game as revenge, but I believe deep down there is an element of revenge on Seattle's minds. Go for the throat and prove to everyone that we were robbed in that game. 4-1 looks a heck of a lot better than 3-2.

Finally after two years of crying....
PITTSBURGH - 21
SEATTLE -0
.....Now just SHUT UP!!!
I went to the game. Refs on their side? To be fair, they overcame a few ticky-tack penalties, most notably the holding against Heath Miller.
