Seattle Sonics Blog:
The team sure seems to be coming together of late with the re-insertion of Rashard Lewis back into the line-up. We here at Seattle Sports Blog give Rashard a hard time in that we still think he could do better in big games (he stunt it up against San Antanio ni the playoffs a few years ago), but we also see how vital he is to the team. With Wilcox and Collison grabbing up rebounds, Rashard has been able to explode for a nice 28.2 points per game since his return....not too shabby. The Sonics have an outside shot of making the playoffs and would probably be the most dangerous team entering the playoffs this year. If they can stay healthy for the remaining 20+ games, they have a shot. Certainly would help keeping them around in Seattle, don't ya think?
Washington Men's basketball blog:
Just when you thought the Huskies were dead in the water (love that hydroplane reference :)), they pull off a great game against the #2 team in the nation, UCLA. Hawes and Brockman, enough said. That combination, if they stay one more year, would prove to be a deadly combo that NO one could compete with next year. We truely hope they stick around for one more year, especially given these numbers: Hawes: 13 points, 15 rebs, 5 blocks Brockman: 20 points and 13 rebounds. Brockman could probably go pro as well, but the NBA sucks and you only get to experience college hoops once, so we hope they follow pride over $$$.
Early signs from an article written by Steve Kelley show that Spencer Hawes may stay another year, which would be HUGE.....http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/stevekelley/2003599742_kelley040.html
