Bracket breakdown:
Well, we here at Seattle Sports Blog are getting absolutely crushed in our own office pool as well as a few we are running outside of our offices in Seattle. Specifically, Texas really ruined any chances of us picking a good bracket. Durrant obviously couldn't lead one team to the promised land and we fell right into the ESPN trap of hyping him up. He's good, but he's not a leader quite yet. WSU of course "coug-ed it" with a deplorable showing against Vanderbilt. Yes, that's right people, Vanderbilt beat Wazzu. Ugly is the only way we can describe it. Maryland, Virginia Tech, and Virginia also killed our bracket. OK, we missed the boat on Butler, but we figured Southern Illinois couldn't repeat their miracle run of 2002. We stand corrected.
Also, despite what our favorite idiots Hargrove, Bavasi, Chuckie Armstrong, and Lincoln might be saying, the Mariners are in DEEP trouble this year. Everyone around baseball says hogwash with the pre-season, but it usually paints a picture of how things are in real life.
Take a look at the current Cactus league totals....guess who is #0? You guessed it, your 2007 Seattle Mariners.
