Seattle Seahawks Blog:
Well, in all honesty, we all know that Seattle should have not even been in this position given the Dallas game. It still pained us to watch that game.....so many chances, so many blown opportunities, so many bad decisions.

Here are our thoughts for a recap of the Bears game. We'll post a blog in a few days for our thoughts on the next year.

Bears Game:

1. Matt has been a "good" quarterback, but he is lacking that Brady exstinct. You would think a guy from Boston College would be a smarter QB who makes good decisions. He had plenty of protection yesterday and his WR's were for the most part healthy (minus Hackett). Holmgren's offenses used to thrive on the screen pass. However, Mike knows that Matt cannot throw that simple pass or sell the fake enough, so we've pretty much abandonded that aspect of the West Coast offense.

It's time for a change in Seattle. Unfortunately, we have no top draft picks, so who do we go after? Michael Vick? We know about his mental lapses as well. Trade up for a Brady Quinn? Then you start to think he might be another Rick Mirer. Seneca? Not sure he's mentally able either after that KC game. Which leads to us David Greene. An 11-1 quarterback at a top southern school of Georgia. I like the fact that he's a lefty and can scramble a bit. He's my choice for QB in 2007.

2. Holmgren's play calling: we are a GOOD offense, not great, and his conservative play calling has in turn bitten us in the ass. Besides the NYG game, when did Seattle put up 30+ points this year? In the Chicago game, the fourth and one calls were absolutely horrible, just horrible. How about a play action pass? We were 1-3 on fourth downs in this game and in all honesty, Alexander should have been stuffed on that goaline play.

3. Defense: Not much you can do when you have a cop playing DB for you. We thought Jennings and Babaneax played well in their roles. We'd like to see Babaneax as a starter at safety next year and take softie softerson Hamlin out of the line-up. Also, Lofa and Hill continued to get bottled up inside and the Bears pounded us up the gut. Pass rush was moderate, but we could use a bit more speed at DE (Winstrom is done!)

Any other thoughts out there from our bloggers? Another year, another disappointment for Seattle fans.......we ALL know that those Basavi lead Mariners aren't doing shit this year and the Sonics are in the toilet.....Go Thunderbirds?!?!?!??!?!!
