U-37 Takes Seafair!
Kudos to the U-37 team for a great win this weekend in what turned out to be a great 2006 Seafair. Great competition, great weather, and plenty of BUI's handed out on the water....those are always fun.

Anyone who missed the action this weekend, Kiro 7 has the final heat online at http://www.kirotv.com/seafair/9637294/detail.html
Even without one mirror, Canada's Jean Theoret was able to take the 2 most important races of the year: Seafair and the Gold Cup in Detroit......what a year for Mr. Schumacher, and it sounds like his team is going to be in the league for more than the 3-5 years anticipated....great, great news for Hydroplaning in 2006 and beyond!
More to come on those terrible M's later......

Mariners are terrible to watch!!!
Can someone please end this season? Can we trade Richie Sexson? Can we get rid of the entire front office? Can we get a new owner? Thank God we have the Hawks to look forward to, who looked impressive against Indy. However, let's keep this in mind: the pre-season is a load of crap when it comes to these games.....it's basically a way for the NFL to earn more $$$. So, we don't write too often about the games here at SBB.
Keep coming back to the site during the start of the regular season as we will post comments on the upcoming Hawks game as well as our predictions for the all 17 weeks of the NFL season.

2006 Seattle Marines season is OVER!
As we predicted here at Seattle Sports Blog, another mediocre Seattle Mariner season with a mediocre ownership and front office. After getting their asses handed to them again by the A's and Texas, face it folks, this team sucks ass.
Bozo Basavi, Chuckie Armstrong, dumb ass Howard Lincoln, all need to go. Sexson needs to go, Washburn needs to go (great free agent signing there Bozo Basavi), Pinero and Meche...choose your average 10-10 pitcher here, Moyer needs to retire. The positives? Ichiro, Felix, Lopez, and finally, Beltre, look solid.
Make some changes, sell the fricking team Nintendo to someone who gives a damn....all you care about is making money with a shitty team. Anyone else realize how much money this team makes? Read it folks: http://www.forbes.com/lists/2006/33/331202.html Yep, that's right, your .500 Mariners are one of the top grossing teams in the majors? Why, because dumb-ass Mariner fans keep going to the games and selling out that stadium. Hey Seattle, wake the hell up, our team sucks! Quit supporting this team until the owners are willing to sacrafice some revenue for talent....Washburn is not talent. BTW, anyone see how well Guardado is doing???? Try a .83 ERA....anothe brilliant move Bozo Basavi!!!!

Time for the Mariners to face the music
As we predicted at the start of the season, the Mariners are right on track for that .500 roller-coaster season. They thrill you, they entice you, then, they disappoint you against thier division rival A's. I mean, 1-12 against any team is sad, very, very sad. This team is great against the low hanging fruit of MLB, however, pitted against top teams, they struggle mightily.
Changes? Many, and let's look at a few of them......
1. Drop Richie Sexson: We hate this guy almost as much as another Richie.....Rick Rizz that is. Sure, he gets you those 30+ HR's a year, but hitting .227 is a joke along with 200 strikeouts. Those #'s kill a team, bottom line. He's no Vlad Guerrero, that's for sure
2. Get rid of Basavi, Chuckie Armstrong, and Howard Lincoln....we've said this a thousand times, but something needs to change and it starts at the top. Follow the Seahawks as an example Mariners, and you'll be rewarded. Keep these yahoo's around, and you'll continue to see shitty Mariner teams around the .500 mark.
3. Seattle fans, you need to start making yourselves heard....I could hear pin-drops at a recent game at Safeco.....where are those crazy fans of 1995? You drink enough coffee for Pete's sake, make some noise, BOOOOOOOOO THE HELL OUT OF RICHIE SEXSON. Don't stand for this shit, make some noise!!!!!!!!!!!

Hines Ward MVP????
Hines Ward MVP? Think he would have got it had the ref called that crap holding call when we had the ball on the one? Or that 15 yard penalty on Hasselbeck for the apparent chop block? Hines Ward is a joke of an MVP, just like the rest of Pittsburgh.....![]() |
