If he is still available in the 6-11 draft position (which is looking like where Seattle will have a pick), I strongly suggest that the Sonics take Roy in this spot. I have seen early draft predictions for the Sonics selecting Sheldon Williams, which would help our lack of a shot blocker, but we can also hope that Petro and Swift will beef up in the off-season to be that legit shot blocker. Moreover, Williams inside moves lack true big man skill...his best shot is his dunk.
So why does Brandon Roy make sense? He's a 6-6 slasher/all around ball player. He can shoot, pass, rebound, and penetrate, something Seattle hasn't had since Detlef. Some might say "we have this w/ Rashard Lewis." However, I still strongly believe Lewis is soft and not the answer here. Roy also went relatively unoticed this year playing on the West Coast, which only ups his stock for a local talent.
This is a no brainer in my mind and hopefully if he's still around when the Soups draft they can make the right decision in Brandon Roy: Seattle Supersonics.
