Blah, blah, blah Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh. Man, I tell ya, I can't take much more of the national spotlight on this team. It's like they are playing ghost on Sunday. Think the nation will be shocked Sunday? Yup. My question over and over again is what will they say when we beat Pittsburgh? First it was that the Redskins were weak, or that Carolina was w/out a running back. I can't wait to read the headlines Monday.
3 additional matchups to look for:
Pitts WR vs. Seattle Secondary: This advantage has to go to Pittsburgh. Hines Ward is an amazing WR and Big Ben can spread it around. Seattle's secondary dominated WA and Carolina, but that's because both of those teams were one dimensional (Moss/Smith). Seattle will have their hands full vs. Pittsburgh's
WR group
Special Teams: Advantage Pittsburgh again. One reason: Randel El.....he is electric, and had 2 punt returns for TD's. Warrick has potentional, but I don't think Seattle's punt coverage is disciplined enough to block well for him.
Seattle LB's/DE's/DT's vs. Pitt RB/OL. Advantage Seattle. I don't think Pittsburgh realizes how physical Darby, Bernard, and Lofa are up front and they will take care of moving them around. Bettis? We stopped Goings, so we should be able to do the same vs. Bettis. Imagine what a collective gasp would occur if Bettis was taken out in the first series by a Lofa hit.....watch out Bus, their a Tatupu train headed your way.
FYI, Seahawks, look out for Pittsburgh to start playing dirty if they get down....look at what they did to Carson Palmer.
