Second "Keys to the game" Matchups

  Posted:

Man, ENOUGH already w/ the hype, let's bring this game and let the pads start talkin!

Here are a few position by position matchups as I see them:

Seattle O line vs. Pitts LB's: This is a straight tie here....Farrior and Porter are strong, physical LB's. One is the leading tackler, one is the leading sacker. On the flip side, Seattle doesn't have 2 #1 picks on one side the line for nothing. These men are mountains and will be able to effectively block Pittsburgh's blitzing. It will be a test of braun + intelligence that will win this battle.

QB: Hasselbeck vs. Roethlisberger: Advantage Seattle. Matt has really matured here in this role this year and has proven he can play in pressure games. Same can be said about Big Ben, but the guy is 24 years old. He will CRACK this weekend if we get good pressure on him. Pressuring the QB this weekend is going to be the key of the game.

Seattle WR vs. Pitt secondary: Besides Polamalu, Pitts does not have anyone in the secondary that really scares me. The combination of DJax, Joe J, Engram, and let's not forget a red hot Stevens, gives Seattle so many weapons. Throw in Seneca Wallace on a few trick plays here and there and Seattle can and will be unstopable. Polamalu is flat out amazing, no question, but he CANNOT cover 4 people at once. Look for the Seattle WR's to have big games.

More to come tomorrow!
