Ah yes, trying to enjoy a day off on this glorious of all holidays...the President's Day. Truth, honor, country, right?
So, I decided to watch some SB XL highlights on Comcast. As usual, the same painful reminder haunts me: the refs won that game. Further more, I STRONGLY suggest everyone watching the program that features the head of the NFL going over the "5 calls" from SB XL (the show also has an interview w/ Herm Edwards, Pro Bowl stuff...just so you are on the right program). Keep in mind that the NFL owns this channel, and Rich Eisen is the host, who is also part of the NFL. What really gets me is the verbiage that this guys indicated: "I think the official on the field made the right call"......."even though the ref on the field first raised one hand and then 2, we believe he made the right call." This show did nothing to convince me that the NFL wanted Pittsburgh to win this game...and they did. Seattle was robbed and I really hope Paul Allen throws some clout around to make sure Seattle is the team that wins next years SB.
