That was an amazing game, regardless of the outcome. Let's be honest Husky fans, there is no way UW should have even been in the first or second OT. Give up some serious props to Roy for hitting some clutch 3's. This was a great wake up call for this team and adjustments need to be made.
First and foremost, for as good of a shooter as Appleby is, he is NOT a ball handler. Make sure Dentmon or Roy is playing the point and leave the dribbling to those guys.
Our D looked great in the first half, but when AZ started hitting 3's in the second half, we probably stayed in the zone too long. Adams was also on fire and with Bobby Jones nursing a sore ankle, we had no one to defend him. Why not Roy? Simple, you save him for the offensive end and keep him rested on D.
Where was Brockman again? He is a solid, solid 6-7 250 lbs PF, but w/out a center, he struggles...he is NOT a center. Expect bigger #'s from him next year when we get Hawes to play Center.
The schedule gets tough for this team now as they hit the road. Again, a few adjustments here and there and this team should be back to it's dominating form. #11 in the country is still a great place to be in......
