Does it really get any better than this for a Seahawks fan? Yesterday's game put this team on the map in the NFL and shut the national media who basically had a Pittsburg Carolina Superbowl in mind. Great, great win.....but it's not over. Let me stress this Seattle fans: I recieved a text message yesterday from a friend of mine about an hour before the game: "Nervous" (he was at the game). I replied with a simple reinforcement: "Confidence" Seahawk fans have not had much to be confident over in years past. This team you can be and I want them to ride this confidence into Detroit.
Re-cap of yesterday's game: I had predicted 30-14 (see earlier blogs), and Seattle met every key to the game that I had mentioned:
1. Shut down Steve Smith (3 catches, 33 yards...ballgame)
2. Alexander to play aggresive. Key answered
3. Big plays from an unlikely hero. Not as much of a factor here.
Big plays came from big players
4. Blitzing really not needed vs. Carolina when Goings went out....they had no running game
I also want all Seahawks fans to pay attention to what some national media folks were saying about this team....be sure to send them an email and let them know that they are jackasses!
