As mentioned, we'll be providing daily updates on keys to the game for Seattle to beat Pittsburgh, which again, will happen, and Seattle will "shock the NFL world."
It's media day at Ford Field which brings up my first key:
1. Seattle will need to stay focused on the game and not let the refs, media, or home town crowd affect their gameplay. Let's be honest folks, the commissioner of the NFL is going to have a little talk w/ the refs to give Pittsburgh the "questionable" calls.....Pittsburgh and Bettis are the darling favorites in this game and it's showing on "Media Day" at Ford Field. Half of the press left when Seattle took the podium.
2. Special Teams: ST almost cost Seattle the game vs. Washington w/ 2 muffed punts and a fumble by Scoobey....who I still do NOT like returning kicks. He's no Desmond Howard, Mr. Holmgren. Moreover, regardless of whether or not that was a block in the back, S.Smith basically walked into the endzone on that punt w/out anyone laying a finger on him. Hey Seattle, guess what??? Pittsburgh has an equally superb Punt Returner in Randel El. Put Trufant or someone w/ speed on the PUnt Return team to prevent the long TD return.
More to come later........
