Another solid win last night over Air Force, the teams first real test of the young season. Star players step up in bigger games...Brandon Roy w/ 27 points last night, Brockman w/ 21.
To be honest, I'm even more excited about this team vs. the 2005 team. Minus Robinson the spark plug and a solid pt. gaurd w/ Conroy, this team is still a top contender nationwide. Keep in mind they still are w/out Jensen, a top SF.
Brockman is proving to the be real deal. W/ Jamaal Williams, Jenson, and Bobby Jones, they have 4-5, 6'6 to 6'8 guys that are interchangeable and can score 10-15 points/6-10 rebs on any given night. My only concern w/ this team is outside shooting. Roy is solid, but Dentmon, J.Smith and Burmeister are unproven to this point. I think as fans we shouldn't look ahead to next year w/ Hawes since the 2006 team is a solid contender for the Elite 8 or Final Four.

Dawgs are looking good this year and I can't wait to see how Brockman and Dentmon pan out for them. There's quite a bit of pressure being placed on these freshman to help carry the team. We'll see if they have what it takes. Good to see the Dawgs are still retaining the local talent!
