Well, more and more teams are sowing up top free agents this off-season. What are the Mariners and that guy Howard Lincoln doing this year? Let's be honest folks, this is still his team regardless of the GM and he's making the majority of the moves. I'm not a big fan of him to be honest w/ you and I don't see this team ever winning a WS until they have new ownership or there is a salary cap in baseball (hmmm, maybe in 2045?). Teams have to be aggressive in this baseball market and I don't see or hear us going after anyone big. It's like clockwork w/ this team in the offseason. Every year they continue to say "we're going after big pitching prospects" etc, and then nothing gets done. Beltre and Sexon certainly addressed the need for defense and power...but where's the pitching?
